BEAUMONT HAMEL

 This is the site of the Newfoundland memorial park and is
 technically part of Canada.

 As well as the memorial. In the park trenches and no mans land
 have been preserved.

 On the first day 780 men advanced. Only 68 were avaliable for roll  call the next day. It took five months to reach the German lines.
