After four successful summer camps including 2 Kent jamborees. This year’s summer camp will take place in East Sussex.
Location:
Blacklands Farm Outdoor centre, Grinstead Lane, East Grinstead, RH19 4HP
Dates:
Leave – Monday 10th August from Hopehill Campsite. Timings: TBC
Please arrive having already eaten breakfast.
Return – Friday 14th August. Collection from Hopehill Campsite.
Travel:
Travel to and from camp will be via Minibus. The estimated travel time is approx 1.5 hours.
Permission Forms:
For both camping and activities, we need written permission for the explorers to take part. We will send these out nearer to the departure date to get the most up to date information on the young people.
Activities:
All of the activities will be run onsite by qualified instructors. These currently include scrambling, giant 12 person stand up paddle boards, gladiator challenge and high ropes and many more. We are also running a day trip out to the coast.
Tentage:
We will be using large 6-man tents as well as smaller 3-4-man tents, the explorers will be split appropriately as per scout guidelines.
Menu:
We are centrally catering for this event, meaning that the food will be cooked by the wonderful Explorer leadership team. The menu will be decided by the explorers.
Cost:
The Total Cost for the event is £180. This price includes everything the explorers while they are on camp.
The deposit is £45 which is your first payment. (please note once paid you can only get this back if we fill the space with someone else).

Spaces are limited to 30 young people and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. After this you will be placed on a waiting list.
If your child would like to attend summer camp but this will place financial hardship on your family, please do let us know and we will see what we are able to do to assist you.
