We will be running Paddle Ex sessions for Scouts and Explorers on the river Medway at Teston on:
• Sat 28-Mar

The cost is £15 and covers all three sessions.
PaddleEx is aimed at developing your kayak and/or canoe skills and experience to achieve Paddlesport Stage Awards.
• Stage 1 - is for those new to paddling
• Stage 2 - develops practical skills
• Stage 3 - enables proficiency
• Stage 4 - discipline specific
For the more experienced paddlers (Stage 3 and above) we will be encouraging you to gain a Personal Permit (SUP; Kayak; Canoe) to recognise your abilities and achievement in paddlesports.
To support DoE, we will be introducing paddlesport expedition training to provide the necessary on the water skills and complemented by workshop sessions at Hopehill to look at journey planning, risk assessment, equipment , loading etc.
