Paddlesport Session

There is a Gravesham Scouts Paddlesports session at Leybourne Lakes open to all Scouts and Explorers that would like to come and try a new skill. At this session, you will have the opportunity to use a Kayak, Canoe or SUP and learn how to develop basic skills such as paddling forwards, backwards, sideways and sweep strokes.These paddlesport sessions can also count towards the ‘Physical’ section for those completing their Duke of Edinburgh/King’s Scout Award.

There are two sessions available:

• Morning session: 9:30 – 11:30
• Afternoon session: 12:30 – 14:30

For all of these events, please be assured we will be providing buoyancy aids and helmets for your young person to wear. A kit list of what to bring will be sent once booking has been made (but think, clothes, footwear and cagoule for on the water, plus a full change of clothes (including footwear and underwear), food and drink.

Please note for safety reasons this is a nut-free event so please do not bring any foods that contain nuts.

By attending these sessions, your young person will also earn towards their paddlesport badges.
