A new event for Explorer and Network Scouts
When – overnight Saturday 29th – Sunday 30th November
Start 18:30 – 20:30 from Istead Rise Scout Hut (we can provide limited transport from Hopehill if you are driving yourself)
Finish 09:00 Hopehill
Doing – Walk in teams of 3 – 6 Explorers or Network members, follow a route, complete some challenges and sleep over in the building at Hopehill, with a bacon roll in the morning
What it’s not:
- Winter Survival! No sleeping in a survival bag, or pushing yourself beyond your limit
- DofE – no carrying a large pack and being self suffuicient!

Kit? Bring a daysac with waterproof, water bottle, snacks, and pack a torch, map case and compass. Map 148 might be useful! Leave a holdall at the start (named) with sleeping bag and change of clothes and shoes. Wear clothes and boots for walking.Questions? Ask Fraser
