Campsite
Archery
Our archery range is available in 1 hour sessions accommodating 12 participants per hour. With up to 8 participants firing at a time (depending of number of instructors avilable) down our 10Â meter range with seating for those awaiting their turn.
Fun doesn’t finish when the sun goes down with lighting on the range and waiting area. Perfect for that evening visit to the site or while on camp. Both the firing and waiting area are under shelter to help protect from not just the rain but also from a hot summer day.
Available with one of our instructors subject to availability with a minimum notice period of 4 weeks. With bows suitable for ages over 6 and left handed people, this is an activity that can be enjoyed by most.
If you have your own instructor and equipment, then our range and target bosses are available to hire. A copy of the qualification will need to be provided.
With our instructors holding a ______ qualification Guides can also take part.
Wheelchair user and S.E.N.D accessibility
From the carpark to the range there is no hard surface so is dependent on the wheelchair in use. The waiting area and firing line are both wheel chair friendly on concrete slabs. We would say that retrieving arrows fired at the target is not wheelchair user friendly due to a drop from concrete slab onto the grass. In addition those participants that fall within the Special Educational Needs & Disabilities the sessions can be adapted. Please inform the archery team when booking of any requirements.
By taking part in this activity it can count toward
