Beaver District Activity Day
Last month saw Beaver Scouts from all over the District come together and learn about different elements of community working towards their Stage 1 Community Support Badge. They were joined by Gravesham Council and Kent Police.
The Beavers learnt about Recycling from our Council team making sure they have an awareness of littering and the bins that the Council provides to households throughout the borough. They then made posters to promote recycling throughout their homes and meeting places. The children from a range of scout groups impressed the teams with their knowledge of materials as well as their willingness to learn.
With the Police, the Beavers learnt about Community Safety, got to sit in the police car and try on some of the equipment and clothing.
They also learnt about Healthy Eating and Exercise, as well as doing First Aid, Libraries and exploring Hope Hill with a trail.
