Delve into North Kent's Wartime History with Gravesham Scouts!

"History buffs and local enthusiasts, mark your calendars! Gravesham Scouts' Adult Learning and Engagement Team (the Shrimpers' Team) are hosting a fascinating afternoon that's not to be missed.

On Sunday, March 23rd, 2025, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm, immerse yourselves in the stories of World War II in North Kent. Paul Baylis, a knowledgeable member of the Team, will be presenting an illustrated talk at the Barnes Wing, Clifford Allen Building, Hopehill.

Kent, being so close to the continent, played a very important role during the second world war. Many historical events happened in this area. To hear about those events from someone who has deep knowledge of the area will be very interesting.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for adult members of Gravesham Scouts to connect, learn, and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment and refreshments. Whether you're a seasoned historian or simply curious about our local heritage, this talk promises to be both informative and engaging.
