Remembrance Day Northfleet 2022

This years Remembrance Day Parade took place on Sunday 13th November 2022 where all of the scout groups that meet in the Northfleet area, where all of the sections from Squirrels to Explorers and lots of Leaders met up at 1st Nothfleet HQ to take part in the parade up to the Northfleet Memorial outside of St Botolph’s Church for the two minute silence and service of Remembrance led by Marion Fielder-White.

This years parade was different compared to previous years as we had members of 1st Northfleet Band to play the drum beat as we paraded along London road to the Memorial.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them.

For the Fallen, Laurence Binyon

Thank you to all the leaders and young people that attended and showed their respects you done us all proud.

Remembrance Day 11th Gravesend St Mary's 2022

Once a year we come together to remember, we put our uniform on with pride, we parade, we reflect, and today we also celebrated. Thank you all so much for coming to our special service today. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of the beavers, cubs, scouts and young leaders who represent 11th Gravesend (St Mary's).

And massive congratulations to Ruby, Enzo, Oliver on their chief scout bronze awards that were presented today, and Holly, Amy and Ewan on their Scout Volunteers awards.

We also raised over £70 for the Royal British Legion. Thank you so much for helping us to do this for them.

Laura Scott
