Are you aged 14-18 and ready for a new challenge? Do you want to build skills to last a lifetime and have fun whilst doing it? Then why not consider becoming a Young Leader at one of our groups within Gravesham!

We currently have several opportunities for young leaders to work alongside adult volunteers within groups, to help run exciting sessions for Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts!

You will embark on a journey to complete the Explorer Scout Young Leader Scheme which is a series of 11 modules and 4 missions to work through whilst volunteering. It covers everything from First Aid and Running Games to how to run a meeting and programme planning. If you are successful in completing everything, you will be awarded with the Young Leader belt to recognise all your hard work!

You’ll also be supported by a Young Leader leadership team who are there to support you along the way with any questions, as well as a team of experienced adult volunteers in the groups you will be working with.

This is a great opportunity to work toward the “volunteering” section of a top award (diamond, platinum and King’s Scout Award) or your Duke of Edinburgh award. You will also be able to gain tiers of the Kent Scouts Volunteering Award, a unique badge for your uniform.

Ready to step up? If you are interested, fill out the form here today and we will get in contact!
