What a better way to start 2020 than by the opening of a brand new group within Gravesham. Behind the scenes, plans have been growing for the reopening of 11th Gravesend (St Mary’s) Scouts for some time, but now the plans become a reality.
Being the first new group to launch in Gravesham for many years, and restarting this group which shut 23 years ago, the challenge is on to create a new section that can grow and develop, and provide scouting for more children within Gravesham. Opening with Beavers next week, we hope to have the Cub section up and running later this year, and Scouts as soon as we can.
Massive thanks to Henson and Fraser for all of their help, and Louise from the County’s Growth and Development team, for organising and planning a 4-week challenge to help build the team.
