Nights Away reminders
As we head into the summer camping season, a few reminders…
All Nights Away need approved through a NAN form
Please use the latest version of the form – here
Send the completed form to Del Jarvis (permits@graveshamscouts.org.uk) and Fraser Patrick (lead@graveshamscouts.org.uk) along with the risk assessment for the event
Please send at least seven days before your Night Away event. If some details change you can always send an update.
Remember as well as a programme, budget and menu you need to think about your contingency plan (if this happens… we will do this) and confirm that you have one
If your contingency is different activities, include these on your risk assessment
List out all adults attending, who must all have a DBS (and thus a membership number)
Ensure all adults (apart from OH) have completed and are up to date with Safety and Safeguarding
Make sure you have thought about and documented on the NAN form your in-touch process – how will you contact parents if necessary and how will they contact you. There is guidance here
