Beavers on Water 2023
Way back in July Beaver Scouts from across Gravesham attended a Beavers on Water activity day at Leybourne Lakes.
The weather was kind to us and during the day the Beavers were able to try kayaking, canoeing, bell boating, and stand-up paddle boarding, while generally just having a great time on and in the water! The Beavers took it in turns to go out on the different craft and a great deal of thought went into deciding which craft they wanted to try next.
In total 81, Beaver Scouts aged between 6 and 8 years, joined in on the day representing 10 Beaver Colonies from across the District.
The Beavers all learnt something new and were happily tired by the end of their paddling sessions.
A huge THANK YOU to Ged and the water team for planning and running the day and thank you to Windmill Hill, 1st Northfleet, Riverview Park, Culverstone & Vigo, 5th Northfleet, 3rd Gravesend, Istead Rise, Meopham and 11th Gravesend from coming along and joining in the fun. ☺
